Thank you so much, Kelly! I would love to know which ones end up working well in a storytime. They may make my 2019 Favourite Storytime Books list too 🙂
Hi Lindsey! I’ve only been doing storytimes since last fall, but these lists of yours have helped me SO much! From this list, I’ve used What Kind of Car Does a T-Rex Drive? on outreaches and at a Dinosaur Storytime. It was successful- fun to give all the dinos and Uncle Otto different voices; a little slow at the beginning but I always bring attention to the approaching Rex. Little Smokey I’ve had a little more fun with. I’ve read this one two or three times at outreaches. I like to read it in a robust 1930’s style radio drama announcer. That really locked the kids into the story. Thanks for all you do! And stay healthy!
Hi Aaron, thanks so much for sharing how these books worked in a storytime setting! When I did this series I wasn’t sure which ones would work for storytime or not. I love the ways you found to make the books shine 🙂
Aaaahhh! Can’t wait for a construction/things that go themed storytime! Must get some of these books to storytime NOW!
Thank you once again, dear Lindsey, for your wonderful, research-powered suggestions! You save the rest of us so much time 🙂
